Chickpeas

Chickpeas belong to the species Cicer arietinum. Chickpeas are low in fat and they are a good source of protein, minerals and vitamins. The two major varieties of chickpeas are ‘Desi’ and ‘Kabuli’. Desi chick peas, also known as Bengal Gram, is smaller in size and higher in fibre content compared to Kabuli chick peas (Garbanzo Beans)
